BEE AND FLOWER from New York City is the musical vision of singer-songwriter, bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Dana Schechter. The music of BEE AND FLOWER envelops the listener into an intimate, luxurious and orchestrated world, filled with moody strings, piano, percussion, ghostly slide guitars, and lush female vocals. BEE AND FLOWER brings together elements of classically-arranged film-score soundtracks with well-crafted rock songwriting, creating a bold, unique and fluid style. Lyrically, the songs weave tales of the universal human experience: of hope and heartbreak, of love and living, and of isolation and oblivion. BEE AND FLOWER's new album features a 25-piece string section, a whirlwind of grand pianos, vintage electronics, delicate melodic percussion, a mammoth ‘bass section’, keyboards, guitars, lap steels, and sweeping vocal choirs.
